We believe that a faith-based education should be accessible to everyone. We understand that tuition can be intimidating, which is why our schools offer scholarships to help make a Catholic education affordable for your family. Our goal is to ensure that our vibrant community is open to all who seek it.
Join over 3,100 families receiving tuition assistance
Last year, local families received a total of $7.3 million in funding from the Educational Improvement Tax Credit and the Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit programs. The organization awards over 3,100 scholarships yearly to students attending Diocese of Allentown elementary and secondary schools, special learning centers, and pre-kindergarten programs.
To qualify, families must meet the following requirements:
- Student(s) must be enrolled in a Diocese of Allentown Catholic School.
- Students are eligible to receive a scholarship if their household's annual income is no greater than $116,055 plus $20,428 for each dependent member of the household.
- Student(s) must be school-aged, ranging from kindergarten to 12th grade. Pre-kindergarten students three and older qualify for the pre-K program.
Schools also have additional scholarship funds available to students. Contact your local school to see if your family qualifies.
Support local students. Receive a tax credit.
Scholarships are fully funded by local businesses and individuals. By supporting deserving families, you can get tax credits through either the Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program or the Opportunity Tax Credit (OSTC) program.
Pennsylvania's EITC/OSTC programs allow businesses and individuals to lower their tax bills by donating their tax dollars to the school of their choice.
The Diocese of Allentown partners with BLOCS - the largest approved scholarship organization in the state - to process contributions that are eligible for a 90% PA State Income Tax Credit.
